City forces storage fee

Thank you, Spokane City Council. Having recently purchased an older motor home, I was ecstatic to find that our city government wasn’t as happy as I about that. So, they added an additional expense to the ownership of a motor home. The lot my home sits on is too small to park a motor home, so I park it on the street. But thanks to the City Council, I must now find a storage facility for the vehicle for five winter months, at my expense of course. Why? No reason was offered.

Local storage facilities love this new ordinance! They now have a whole new group of customers, brought to them by our City Council. Storage prices have suddenly gone up here! Is price gouging a factor?

This gang of elected “representatives” has no boundaries. I don’t know who they actually represent. Apparently, they have expanded their jurisdiction to include state affairs, the Commerce Department and Spokane citizens, without regard and with no consideration or care given to what the cost of their expeditions into the wallets and purses of its citizens will be.

So since the City Council imposed this expense on me, how about I send them the bill.
