Republican tax cut plan
Republicans have been praising the national economic numbers, including the soaring stock markets and low unemployment, so why do we need tax cuts? If we stimulate the economy too much, won’t inflation cause a rise in interest rates and higher consumer prices?
Our congresswoman is giving us a $1,172 tax cut (on a $59,000 annual income) that will be negated by lost tax deductions, higher interest and prices of goods and services that we buy. It sounds like the government giveth and then taketh away. More will be taken than given back — unless you are super rich.
This reminds me of the business owner who raised his price 40 percent and then took out an ad that showed a 10 percent sale discount. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers is back in her family fruit stand days and is putting all the bruised peaches on the bottom of the box.
How many times are we going to let her fool us with her political sales pitches? Sorry, but that tax cut dog poop on the sidewalk isn’t chocolate. Yes, it’s the same color, but won’t taste like chocolate when the congresswoman stuffs it legislatively down your throat.
