Help Trump help us

It is such a shame that our elected senators and representatives will not find a way to compromise on very important issues that need to be resolved in our America.

Both sides are so adamant of discrediting the other side only hate and discontent come out, destroying what America once stood for. Voting along party lines shows me and hopefully others that the “party” rules not its citizens.

When President Trump reached across the aisle for help in trying to get our country back on track, he was condemned. When he did not reach across the aisle he was condemned. He is responsible for over 300 million people; it is impossible to please everyone. Yet the hateful letters I read in out paper about our president hurts all of America.

We are in charge of this country, not 535 elected people. We need to get along. We all need to help one man try to attain positive achievements. If they do not work, there’s another election for a new leader three years and one month down the road. At least give him a chance. It’s only been 11 months that he has been in office and from day one he has been chastised by the press and also from his citizens he is trying to help.

Helping him will help this country. We have everything to gain by being positive and everything to lose by being negative.
