Consider the source

President Trump is getting all over the NFL and NBA players for expressing their First Amendment rights. He calls them SOBs and asks that they be fired.

This rant comes from a person who has five deferments from military duty. He even had to have the first lady remind him to place his hand over his heart during the playing of the national anthem. We have American citizens suffering from national disasters and this is occupying his time.

But we have to consider the source. He said John McCain was not a hero and tried to humiliate the Khan parents, who lost their son in Afghanistan. These are examples of this man’s thought process. Remember, the Boston Tea Party was a protest. He should forget his ego and be what a president of all Americans should be: an example, not a showman or bigot.

We have more rights than his favorite – the alt-right. Our young people are watching.
