North Monroe a waste

I’m fortunate I live in Spokane Valley. The city wastes money on building a fancy City Hall it doesn’t need, rather than plowing streets or otherwise improving traffic; but at least it’s not actively making traffic worse. There’s still no north-south freeway in Spokane, and folks have problems commuting north and south.

Rather than help them by focusing on mass transit or getting the freeway finished, it seems the City Council is only interested in handing out contracts to buddies in order to make traffic even worse for the average citizen of Spokane. Yes, improve sidewalks and crosswalks on North Monroe, but there’s a lot that should be done before you narrow a key travel corridor.
