Dissent crushed

I suppose what Trump is reaching for is the image of patriotism and nationalism depicted by the massive rallies in Nazi Germany where everyone stood for the German national anthem and everyone saluted both the flag and the great man with whom the flag was identified. There were no “SOBs” taking a knee in those rallies. There were no dissidents defying the edicts of the uber-patriotic leader who was dedicated to making Germany great again.

No, this was a country that knew what to do with dissenting minorities, a country that understood there was only one person who was smart and strong and courageous enough to fix things.
