Guidance for Liere

Regarding Matt Liere’s Sept. 28 column on the national anthem protests, I hope he spends some of his newfound time studying the nature of racial injustice in the United States. It would also be good for him to learn of the importance of using peaceful protest to bring attention to a social issue.

Lastly, I hope he reflects on the hypocrisy he exhibited by writing about a political protest regarding a racial issue before a football game in the Outdoors section.
