Spend on this road

I don’t live on Monroe Street, nor do I own a business there. But I drive it almost daily. Why would anyone think that we should take a perfectly good street and restrict it to slow down the traffic flow? You could save the millions of dollars spent on this project and use it to improve other streets that are in desperate need of repair.

One example would be the Trent Avenue Bridge over the river. That short piece of road is an embarrassment to our city and has been for years. Maybe it’s time to elect some officials who have common sense instead of delusions of grandeur.
