Wiser the wiser choice

As I read the Oct. 25 article comparing Spokane Public Schools board candidates Mike Wiser and Jennifer Thomas, I was struck by the stark difference of opinion.

It seems to me that Thomas is running in the wrong district. Her views and values (arming campus resource officers, opposition to updating the sexual education curriculum because of Planned Parenthood’s partial involvement and allowing unvaccinated children to attend school during outbreaks) would find a much better fit in the Spokane Valley school districts. In fact, midway through the article it was revealed that her children do not even attend an SPS school, and, in fact go to school in the Central Valley School District.

It is clear to me that incumbent Mike Wiser, with children who attend school in the district, is much better positioned to represent the needs and interests of Spokane Public Schools students. As a parent of two young girls living in the district, Wiser is clearly the obvious choice for Position 5.
