2nd Amendment a right

The NRA is made up of American people who pay membership to protect their Second amendment rights. It is not some faceless organization. The Second Amendment is a right, not a privilege. The U.S. Supreme Court interpreted the Second Amendment as the right of American people to have firearms.

It is not your business, editors, to tell me what I can have and not have to protect my family. We live in a violent world. You have cops killing people over broken taillights. The homicide rate in Chicago is not going down, and they have one of the strictest gun laws in the nation.

Civilians cannot own automatic firearms unless they have a federal firearm license and permission from federal authorities. The so-called assault weapons are not automatic. You have to pull the trigger one at a time. I know if the Democrats had their way, they would take away all guns from American people. The bad guys will always have weapons regardless how many laws are passed. I will keep my guns and my rights.
