Evidence of racism

In response to: ‘Many Sides’ in context and others claiming racist-in-chief isn’t racist (Aug 25 letter):

Donald Trump pardoned Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a man found guilty of contempt of court for disobeying court orders regarding treatment of people he thought were illegal immigrants.

I am amazed so many people believe the man who took advantage of the “birther” movement to build a cult of personality to pave his way to the White House isn’t racist. Donald Trump personalized this conspiracy theory claiming President Obama was born in Kenya. The theory as I know it has Ann Dunham giving birth to Barack Obama in Kenya, sending a telegram to the Honolulu newspaper to place a birth announcement saying he was born at Kapiʻolani Medical Center. Ann gave her baby the all-American name Barack Hussein Obama in an effort to hide him among all the white people running for president. Good work, right?

Donald Trump proved his racism and his dishonesty whenever he invoked birtherism. It’s the most obvious, but not the only, time Trump has proven he’s racist. A superintendent of an apartment complex Trump’s real estate company managed was caught refusing to rent to blacks. He said those were his orders.

People who understand what racism is know birtherism was the ultimate racist lie.
