Houston is a harbinger

“Houston, we have a problem” was the understated call from Apollo 13 astronauts that resulted in an engineering fix that got them safely home.

The current “problem” in Houston defies any and all engineering fixes. POTUS has irrationally boasted that, “We are going to get you back and operating immediately.” That sort of bluster won’t work this time. In a word that he has coined, this is bigly!

What we are seeing is the future happening before our eyes. The ignored warnings of the scientists are now reality. The impact of climate change is now on us all.

Out of this catastrophe we are likely to see our own home grown refugee crisis as ten of thousands of those displaced, unlike the astronauts, will have no safe place to return to.
