Solution to smoking
Joe Dufresne (Sept. 14 letter) believes it would be nice if smokers were allowed to light up indoors so they wouldn’t have to breathe the outdoor smoke from all the fires. He says a “little relief would be helpful” to smokers.
I wonder if he realizes just what he is asking? He wants nonsmokers to breathe his toxic secondhand smoke so he doesn’t have to breathe the outdoor smoke while he lights up.
Mr. Dufrense, please think about what you are suggesting. If we wanted to breathe in that junk, we would simply go outside. We really don’t need help from smokers to foul our lungs. If you don’t want to smoke outside, quit smoking!
A former smoker who was smart enough to quit.
