No more NFL gear

I have been an NFL fan my entire life and a Seahawks fan since its inception. I now have room in my closet and man cave because I no longer will wear or display NFL gear or products. Like or dislike President Trump, he did not start this. This was started by Colin Kaepernick, and the majority of patriotic Americans agree with President Trump.

I have a problem with whiny millionaires playing a game and complaining about inequality. I guess it is OK for a working American making $40,000 a year to pay $200 for a ticket, $100 for a shirt and $20 for popcorn.

The NFL was one of the last refuges for conservative, liberal, black, white, brown, male, female to share and enjoy time together without politics. The insertion of politics into the game by NFL players is contributing to the polarization of Americans. To disrespect the flag, anthem and military men and women who have served, died and continue to protect us is disgusting.

The front page of every valid news organization should display Army veteran and Steelers player Alejandro Villanueva standing alone with his hand over his heart at the start of that game. Just because you have the right doesn’t make it right.
