Move the tracks

With the coming of the North South Freeway, the northeast Spokane neighborhoods will see a lot of change.

I would just like to ask all agencies involved in the planning of this one thing: Would you please move the railroad tracks to parallel the North South Freeway to Interstate 90? Since the time of Expo and beyond this track has literally gone through several northeast city neighborhoods and along our most precious resource, the Spokane River. Turn the old railroad into a trail that would easily connect people to downtown. It’s that simple. This stretch of track has certainly killed people. It also stops cars on Mission Avenue.
