Celebrate, thank library workers

National Library Week is observed April 8-14, 2018, with the theme of “Libraries Lead.”

On Tuesday, April 10, a special day is set aside as National Library Workers Day to recognize the library staff, users, administrators and Friends groups for their valuable contributions to the great library institutions across the United States.

The thousands of unsung heroes including library employees, Friends and users of the Spokane County Library District make the eleven libraries throughout the county reservoirs of resources and opportunities for our community to learn, work, create and thrive together.

Stop by your local library and thank the librarian, pages and other employees for their service.

Libraries are the citadels for our First Amendment rights in our great United States of America.
