Who does the Spokane Transit Authority serve? Over the past couple of months, I have had a remarkable experience with STA Paratransit program. After an accident left me temporarily immobile, I still needed to get to my job. I applied and was quickly granted access to the Paratransit program. Incredibly friendly drivers came to my door, helped me on to the bus, and returned me home, literally pushing my wheelchair from door to door! On one trip, the bus driver went out of her way to help a woman who had missed an appointment, by talking the agency staff into letting the woman in!

I often rode with others who needed a way to get to work or appointments. The helpful and very cheerful drivers impressed me day after day. I really appreciate that STA assists those unable to drive as well as those who want to help keep cars off the road. I trust our public transit agency to prepare for a vibrant future as Spokane continues to grow.

Thank you STA!
