More to Lisa Brown

Referring to Dr. Lisa Brown as the “former WSU Spokane chancellor” does not represent the depth of her experience, knowledge and values.

With her doctorate in economics, if elected she’d be one of only four representatives with doctorates!

She served for 20 years in the state legislature, part of the time being the Senate majority leader. Under her leadership the state had a balanced budget. Amazing! Our new tax cuts and out-of-control deficit threaten Social Security and Medicare, which she vows to protect.

As an educator, she knows the significance of the student loan debt crisis and the importance of protecting the Dreamers. She facilitated the establishment of a medical school in Spokane, values health care availability and lower prescription drug costs. Raised on a farm, she well knows the impact that a potential trade war would have on Washington agriculture.

And most importantly, unlike her opponent, Lisa’s campaign will not be funded by or beholden to the NRA or corporate PACs. She is her own person, a known leader, an intelligent, ethical and independent problem solver. She will serve all of us well.
