Democracy exemplified!

Great to see democracy in action, as 29 candidates run for the Senate. (“28 hopefuls chase Cantwell in U.S. Senate primary,” Jim Camden, Spokesman-Review, July 15, 2018).

It will be a real challenge to beat the incumbent Sen. Maria Cantwell, since she works hard for everyday citizens. Currently she has proposed a bipartisan bill to provide more affordable housing, signed on to a bipartisan letter to battle the world’s No. 1 infectious killer – tuberculosis – and still takes time to meet with constituents in Washington, D.C., or in state. She listens and takes action.

No wonder she will be difficult to beat. She is an effective representative of the people who sees the big picture and works to make a difference.
