Better priorities than stadium

Many thanks to our City Council for having the wisdom to vote down a sports stadium.

Taxpayers get nothing in return. It is like paying for a house for which you pay the taxes, but cannot live in it, rent it or sell it.

Franchises, sponsors and the athletes get the money. More harm for the taxpayer when he is subjected to inflated ticket prices.

I hope Mayor Condon will heed needed priorities such as education, which should be given priority over a sports complex.

Also, I’m still avoiding numerous potholes every time I drive.
