Trump’s criminal accomplishments

In response to Curt Stone’s letter (Aug. 12, 2018) of the Trump administration’s accomplishments, my take for the most part is just the opposite. I now have a better glimpse into Trump supporters’ inexplicable views. One missing piece in his glowing list of accomplishments is the glaring, heartless tragedy of child separations at the border.

Personally, I can’t come up with a more heinous crime. How outrageous in these days of high tech – the government can’t even find the parents of more than 400 children. Many have been sexually abused, kept in cages, cold rooms and tent cities, illegally treated with drugs and abused in other ways. I am sure most of their parents, under all circumstances, would always insist being with their children.

Honestly, I want my children and grandchildren to know that I have done everything possible to stop this government-sponsored child abuse – that I took no part in it. I believe this will go down in history as one of the most cruel policies a government ever perpetrated on our fellow sisters and brothers, competing with the shame of the Holocaust. Is this what “Make America Great Again” means to the Trump administration supporters?
