Not all immigrants are parents

Add Spokesman-Review on Google

I am shocked at the level of ignorance displayed by some of the letter writers in the area of criticism toward the Trump policy of separation of children from adults who cross the border illegally.

I lived on the border in Arizona for over 40 years and can tell you that not all adults who cross the border with children are parents. You have pedophiles, human traffickers, cartel members and gang members. Just because someone crosses the border with a child doesn’t make them a parent.

To criticize our immigration officials who are trying to protect the children with a knee-jerk reaction shows a shocking level of disregard of the facts. To compare this with the Holocaust is appalling.
