Those who support McMorris Rodgers do not defend democracy

Cathy McMorris Rodgers and the local GOP continue their downward spiral by bringing to Spokane and defending those dedicated to destroying our democracy. Last September, far-right British politician Nigel Farage was invited to Spokane directly after campaigning for Roy Moore in Alabama alongside Steve Bannon, both true alt-right folks. Farage is now a “person of interest” in the Trump-Russia investigation.

Then we had the James Allsup event at the NW Grassroots meeting, a group of folks that included the Spokane GOP Chair (who has since resigned). Then CMR brought Devin Nunes to Spokane … a true Trump loyalist as proven by his tape explaining events necessary to stop Robert Mueller. And now CMR is bringing Kellyanne Conway, another Trump loyalist, here for a fundraiser. She was found guilty of violating the federal Hatch Act two times.

All these people have one thing in common: Stretching the limits of democracy, of truth, of lawful behaviors. What is a moderate Republican, true to the traditional values of the party to do? In this case, you must vote for Lisa Brown. The facts are evident: CMR and her team of supporters are not good for our district, our state or our nation.
