Taj Mahal of bridges

So, the City Council in its usual infinite wisdom chose to use our taxpayer dollars to build the Taj Mahal of all pedestrian bridges! How many people are going to benefit from using this bridge? How many homeless people is this bridge going to help?

I suggest that to get our elected officials’ attention, perhaps the homeless should pitch their tents and open a camp on the bridge!

Has the City Council forgotten that the primary purpose of government at any level is to provide safety and security for its citizens?

I will never step foot on this bridge and hope that lots of my fellow citizens will boycott it as well. What a waste of money!
