Washington losers

Many of the working-class people of Washington will never see the financial benefits of the Trump tax reform. The Democratic governor and Democratic majority in the House and Senate are preparing to steal it. The proposed “carbon tax” and other deceptive environmental measures will bring major increases in fuel, energy and utility costs. Vehicle licensing will see a significant increase and the grossly inequitable “per mile” surcharge will further affect transportation costs.

Washington state is being run by greedy, power-hungry bureaucrats with unquenchable thirst for more and more taxpayers’ hard-earned money. Does anyone remember that proceeds from the lottery were specifically going to fund education? How did it end up in the general fund while our schools remain underfunded? How is it that the massive monetary windfall from marijuana tax revenue is going to pet projects like the Seattle High-Speed Rail and the Alaska Way tunnel fiasco?

How is it that Olympia gets the cream, Puget Sound gets new ferries, the east half of the state gets squat? Oh, I forgot. It’s the smart progressives on the West Side that deserve it, us on the east half are just rubes with manure on our boots and flies in our kitchen.
