Crowd turns out for hearing on bill to raise smoking age to 21
There’s a long line of people stretching down the Capitol hallway this morning to sign up to testify at the hearing this morning on SB 1255 , Sen. Fred Martin’s bill to raise the smoking age in Idaho to 21. You can listen live here .
The committee also is considering introducing a “Stand Your Ground” gun bill; that measure, presented to the panel by Sen. Steve Vick, R-Dalton Gardens, was approved for introduction on a party-line vote, with Democratic Sen. Cherie Buckner-Webb dissenting.
