Sexual harassment never OK

In reference to “Ruined by lies and truths” (Feb. 13), by Marilyn Calkins.

Ms. Calkins states that people who are sexually harassed at the workplace knew what was “required” of them ahead of time, and they should not complain about it afterward.

In what universe is sexual coercion OK, as long as the victim is aware ahead of time that it can happen? No one, male or female, should ever have to put up with sexual harassment to advance in their field. And until it becomes unacceptable to everyone in the workplace, or school, or athletic program, it will not stop. Shame on you.
