An enemy among us

There is an enemy among us. An enemy led by Donald Trump.

The enemy is gutting environmental protections, ignoring impacts of climate change, eroding protections for minorities and the LGBT GBT community, pitting immigrants against “Americans,” taking away affordable health care for all, attempting to impact women’s decisions about their own health, passing a tax plan that will aid the very wealthy but do little for most others, meddling in an investigation by the Justice Department with the release of a classified memo to discredit the FBI, Cabinet appointees who are wealthy, unqualified for the position and with obvious conflicts of interest.

This is a small sampling of what this enemy is doing on the federal level. How about the Idaho Legislature that has a standing ovation for an armed criminal? This enemy is the Republican Party, especially the far-right conservative tea party faction.

Harm already done and continuing harm to this country by the Republican Party will not stop if something isn’t done during upcoming elections.
