Friday’s openings redux: Margot Robbie is ‘Tonya’

In the confusing world of post-holiday movie openings, this much is clear: “I, Tonya” will be among the releases scheduled for this part of the world on Friday.

More may be coming, but we’ll just have to wait to be certain. Anyway:

“I, Tonya” : Margot Robbie plays the disgraced skater and Olympic hopeful Tonya Harding who will forever be linked with the attempt to sabotage Harding’s competitor, Nancy Kerrigan . This fanciful look at Harding’s life features a Gold Globe-winning performance by Allison Janney as Harding’s mother.
