Women’s March is the People’s March
As we reflect on the first twelve months of the Trump administration, there is extreme cause for worry and consternation. It does not matter your party affiliation, your age, your sexual orientation, your religion, your income level, your immigration status, your gender, your age … there is something for all of us to worry and care about.
Many of us have made phone calls and written letters, but to no avail. It seems that all efforts are fruitless, that Trump is untouchable.
But we can voice our anger, our frustration and our fears that our democracy is being eroded, that the well-being of our people and the planet is suffering. The 2018 Women’s March is on January 21, starting at noon at the Red Wagon.
But let’s call this the People’s March, for all of us, for the men who are fathers, brothers and sons, for the women who fear their reproductive rights are threatened, for the outdoors folks who want to protect the national monuments, for all of us who want and need to protect our democracy and our planet for the future of our children and grandchildren. Show up, be present, be vocal, be an active citizen who wants to be seen and heard.
