Erpelding on HB 335: ‘The kind of responsible tax cut we can support’

House Minority Leader Mat Erpelding, D-Boise, issued this statement on the unanimous House vote Tuesday in favor of HB 335, the unemployment insurance tax cut:

“The Unemployment Insurance Fund was over-capitalized during the recession. We have more than enough revenue inside the fund to cover us through another significant downturn.  It’s time to return some of those payments back to businesses. This is the kind of responsible tax cut we can support.”
