Tax plan against Republican values

Concerning the recent tax package that was passed by a Republican-controlled Congress and President Trump:

By their own admission, Republicans state that this tax package will reduce federal income taxes significantly to the top 20 percent of income earners while only marginally to the bottom 80 percent. The federal tax cuts to the top 20 percent are permanent, while tax cuts to the remaining 80 percent are temporary.

The Republicans admit this new tax package will increase the national debt by $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years. To achieve this, the national economy would need to expand by 6 percent a year, currently running about 2.5 percent a year. If the economy does not expand by the projected rate, then the federal budget deficits may well exceed a trillion dollars a year.

The Republicans state that they stand for limited government and balanced budgets. Well, their plans do the exact opposite. By 2020, the federal government budget may exceed $6 trillion (currently $4.2 trillion) and the federal government debt will be close to $24 trillion (currently $21 trillion). The Republicans have reneged on all of their values and principles.
