Ignoring the chaff

Ignoring the chaff hiding good information requires minimal time to investigate. When Trump states Democrats are to blame for stopping DACA, he fails to mention that he is tying unacceptable demands to its passage.

When McMorris-Rodgers touts House passage of the stalled CHIP bill, she fails to mention that the House version undoes the ACA, which helps kids but skewers parents. And when she claims that the recent tax bill is great for the middle class, she again fails to state that over 80 percent of the $1.5 trillion boost to the national debt goes to the very top of our economic ladder.

When Trump takes credit for the recent move by Walmart to give employees a raise and a bonus, he neglects to recall that 63 Sam’s stores are closing, putting 10,000 out of work and that market conditions (700,000 unfilled retail jobs) forced the raise.

Again, if we ignore the chaff, it’s clear that all Democrats would support clean bills for DACA and CHIP. And if Democratic votes were needed to pass the tax bill, there would have been much more benefit to the poor and middle class and less upward redistribution of wealth.
