CMR understands WA

I am a Christian, a wife and mother, a retired U.S. Army officer and currently an adjunct instructor and club adviser at Spokane Community College.

I had the opportunity to meet Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers at her Top O’ the Morning breakfast in March 2018, at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane. We discussed having her possibly visit the students on campus. She made real that opportunity in May 2018.

She spoke at our College Republicans’ BBQ and students were able to meet her and other civic leaders. I truly enjoyed her willingness to address the academic, employment and financial issues that are important to me and my students.

I then had another chance to meet with the congresswoman during the Lincoln Day dinner in June, at the Davenport. She remains positive, approachable and honest. I appreciate every interaction with her and believe she really understands and fights for issues important to many Washington residents.
