Exhausted by the chaos

I’m exhausted. The daily chaos in this administration is exhausting. Between the hypocrisy, the flip-flopping POTUS, the lies and the belittling of many including our allies, it’s enough to drive one crazy … or to Canada!

Most notably is the inhumane treatment of immigrants and the tearing apart of families. Some reports indicate some families may never be reunited.

Here’s the hypocrisy: Ambassador Nikki Haley states the UN “… makes a mockery of human rights,” (The Spokesman-Review, June 20.) Now the USA is doing the same thing. Kirstjen Nielsen, secretary of Homeland Security, smiled while reporting these immigrant parents are “asking for it” by entering illegally. Is it any wonder she was booed out of a Mexican restaurant? At least she likes their food if not the people.

And the flip-flop: POTUS is now willing to sign “anything” to fix the problem. Not out of concern for these families, but purely for selfish reasons due to the backlash he has received.

Most disconcerting is that many citizens agree with the zero-tolerance policy. Shame on you. I’m too exhausted to even try to address this sad commentary.
