Bureaucracy includes Democrats, too

In a letter on July 5 (“We did this to ourselves”), Mark Johnson denounces the Republican Party for its irresponsible running of our federal government. I couldn’t agree more. But he doesn’t go far enough: the Democratic Party shares equally in this madness.

Government has always been the enemy of the people. Cuba, Venezuela, Russia, Latin American socialism inspire many of their people to flee to America, land of limited government. This is why our Founding Fathers sought to hamstring its ability to grow into the behemoth bureaucracy it is today.

Imagine if the state of Washington, or better yet, Spokane county or city, had the money that we send to the incompetents in D.C.! Imagine the good that could be done without all the histrionics!
