Brandt feels entitled

You should care about our local judicial system. Who your judges are have a vital impact on public safety and ensuring justice is fair to all. Character and honesty are essential. Johnathan Glover’s article on judicial candidate Randy Brandt’s controversial campaign signs was outstanding.

Advertising is essential for any candidate to reach the fast-moving motoring public who are potential voters. Some candidates will do anything to win, even if unethical. Brandt wants you to think he is a sitting judge who deserves another term! He is not. He had a well-deserved defeat in 2014 to a very smart woman. The fact Brandt thinks this controversy is just a distraction is a good indicator he feels entitled to be a judge again.

The utter arrogance and surprise Brandt exhibited when he learned he might be in violation of Washington state rules, then telling the Spokesman-Review he was not aware they applied to candidates during elections, is an excellent reason to vote for one of his two opponents. Either Patrick Johnson or Lynden Smithson are more deserving of your vote and will be a better role model for your children. Brandt is a disgrace.
