Trump not the first “King”

If James Lanham did not write a similar diatribe (“King Trump?” June 12, 2018) when King Obama made his kingly assertion -“I have my pen and I have my phone,” and reigned over the land by Executive Orders - then his letter will have to be included in the textbook on partisan hypocrisy.

To be sure, President Trump must respect the reality of the balance of powers, but let’s not be inflicted with the misbegotten notion that he’s the first president to make such declarations - especially since his immediate predecessor remains the poster boy for such presumption.
