No safety in animal shows

While watching the Jay Owenhouse magic show last night featuring live Bengal tigers, I was appalled and shocked by the lack of safety precautions in place while he exhibited these animals in the show. Tigers were walked on stage on leashes within feet of the audience!

Tigers and other dangerous animals were banned as pets in Spokane 18 years ago after a pet cougar attacked someone. I was grateful I was in a balcony seat during the show!

There are numerous recent attacks by wild animals in entertainment that continue to prove these animals are unpredictable and dangerous. I believe these acts should be stopped before another tragedy happens.
