A hero among us

Thank you for the inspiring “Landmarks” article (“From Spokane, he flew into history,” March 1). It brought tears to my eyes. I’ve lived in Spokane a long time and never knew about this man. A hero in our midst.

It was a refreshing relief from so many sad stories the paper must print. Keep up the great work.
