Gratitude for park workers

Expressions of gratitude to all of you and those working on the park.

These are frustrating times, as is any other time in history. The gun debates are a new twist on an old problem: the problem of violence. While I wish we heard more about what we are going to do to hold mega-industries like Hollywood, video gaming, and internet providers to standards that educate on the violent content they are producing, today I choose to focus on the blessings in life.

1) For the millions around the world and the people I walk by every day who are people of good will and do not act violently even though we all have the same free will to do so. I thank you for the calm and quiet you contribute to our society.

2) I would like to thank those developing our park here in downtown Spokane. Walking across the river after work in the dark, I took particular notice of the style of the new lights by the Skate Ribbon. Beautifully radiant upon the walking paths but not creating light upward, thereby making the magnificence of the stars more visible.

Bravo the small things like this which we all choose to do and create each day!
