Senate goes into 14th Order to consider conflicting amendments to trespassing crackdown bill

The Senate has just resolved itself into the Committee of the Whole in its 14th Order, where it can amend bills, and the bill up for amendment is HB 658, the controversial trespassing crackdown bill that’s been pushed by two Texas brothers who bought up - and closed off public access to - vast tracts of land in Valley County that formerly was open to public access for hunting, fishing and recreation. “There’s three amendments that are all in conflict,” Senate Assistant Majority Leader Steve Vick, R-Dalton Gardens, told the Senate. “So if at any point one passes, the remainder will be lost.” You can watch live here .
