‘Live PD’ must tell full story

I agree with your editorial on the the First Amendment and the media, “Spokane’s bona fide censorship of ‘Live PD’,” (March 11). I do have an additional comment.

If the “Live PD” broadcast was exactly that - live and unedited, no “cherry picking” of salacious or stories thought to be of greater “viewability” (improved ratings for improved return on investment) - I would be first in line at an upcoming Spokane City Council meeting.

While “protections” for accuracy and unbiased reporting have never existed, if “Live PD” wants to show live PD, let’s see it all, not a product using video to tell a predetermined story. It has been said a “picture is worth a thousand words.” In this day and age, I’d prefer to see the entire picture rather than a version edited to increase profitability.
