Catch the 50 Hour Slam short tonight at The Bing

Above : The Riverfront Park Skate Ribbon will be a feature of all the entries in tonight’s 50 Hour Slam screening.

Every year hundreds of filmmakers swarm the streets of Spokane to participate in the 50 Hour Slam . Those crews have that amount of time — from Friday through Sunday — to write, shoot and process their movies.

And just to keep things interesting, the filmmakers have to include local sites (such as the Riverfront Park Skate Ribbon ) and other references in an attempt to keep things fresh.

This best of this year’s entries will be screened beginning at 7:30 tonight at the Bing Crosby Theater . You can buy tickets, which run $12, online or at the door.
