No dirt under CMR’s nails

May 1, 2018, Gordon Spunich writes an editorial praising Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ representation of us (“CMR a grassroots candidate”). I looked on the website www.govtrackus.us to see her voting record.

Ninety-seven percent of the time she votes with Republicans. She is consistent in her support for President Trump.

She has voted for tax cuts for the wealthy, insurance companies to be able to raise premiums or drop ill people, cut Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. She voted to cut $2.71 billion from SNAP.

She voted against ACA health insurance exchanges so purchasers could compare insurance prices and the Ledbetter Act (protecting women from violence and unequal pay). She voted against free contraceptive care. Her record proves her anti-environment stance.

I’m sick of hearing she picked apples on her family’s farm or she worked at McDonald’s. She punishes people who work in the aforementioned jobs while she makes $174,000 with full retirement. And she doesn’t spend much time here unless there’s an election. She’s been to New Hampshire, Indiana, Las Vegas, Florida, Colorado and California this year fundraising. The Koch brothers are helping too.

There’s no dirt under her fingernails now and the decision for whom to vote is easy, Mr. Spunich.
