Cover and save Joe Albi

I agree with Craig G ( “Cover Joe Albi Stadium,” Craig Gerlack, Nov. 3, 2018). I was born and raised in Spokane. 74 years.

When I met my husband, we had a lot of places to go to like Natatorium Park, the Coliseum (now the Arena) for sports and concerts, but my family’s favorite place for sports, Battle of the Bands, and concerts (especially the Fourth of July Concert) was Joe Albi Stadium.

I believe there is a lot of potential for using the Joe Albi stadium and make it great again. Instead of building downtown, cover it.

Downtown has a lot of problems, especially parking. We have attended a lot of events at the Arena. Leaving the parking lot has always been a headache.

We believe that Joe Albi Stadium can be upgraded for better use and bring other activities. If you think the way we do, contact the City Council and let them know. We need to save Joe Albi Stadium.
