A contested wave

I am writing to disagree with Hal Dixon, who stated in today’s paper that there wasn’t a Blue Wave following the midterm elections (“That was no wave,” Nov. 18). Here are some examples why there was the Blue Wave …

What does he call Orange County, California, that for many years was a Reagan stronghold and voted Republican? They now voted a solid blue. There are now at least 100 new women in the House of Representatives; they decided to seek office as a repudiation of all things Trump stands for and says. There were also statehouses plus some governors who turned from Red to Blue. So, if he continues to say there wasn’t a blue wave, I think he needs to read and study politics more.
