Horton backs Konis

I have been blessed to serve as your assessor for the past 8 years. I am retiring at the end of the year.

I’m asking you to support Tom Konis as my replacement.

Tom has been with the assessor’s office almost 25 years as a residential appraiser, commercial appraiser, and is currently our industrial appraiser. He knows all aspects of our office, which isn’t just appraisal. The assessor’s office has the responsibility to administer the following programs: business personal property, senior/disabled exemptions, tax deferrals, open space, levies, segregation and mapping, as well as customer service.

His opponent has no experience in mass appraisal or any other aspect of the assessor’s office. He states “the assessor’s office has refused to use the latest technology and constantly misses deadlines”. This is blatantly false. Our staff, with the help of IT, have developed and implemented many programs to assist with our work. Spokane ranks high among Washington counties for quality and efficiency of work.

Tom has the expertise, supervisory skills, and integrity to work for you, the taxpayer.

Vote Tom Konis your new assessor.

Vicki Horton

Spokane County Assessor
