Konis has knowledge, experience

Vote for Tom Konis, Spokane County assessor. Tom has the needed technical knowledge and management skills to do this job. He has that all-important mass appraisal experience and assessment administration knowledge acquired after 25 years at the Spokane County Assessor’s Office.

The assessor’s office is charged with valuing the entire county annually and administering other required tasks and programs. Some are technical, such as levy administration. Others are convoluted and labor-intensive, like the Open Space Taxation Act. There are hundreds of laws and rules that must be understood and followed. This is not a job for the inexperienced.

The Spokane County Assessor’s Office has developed advanced and streamlined systems, we know this to be true from exchanging information and ideas with other counties at the state level and through professional organizations. All analytical standards used by the Washington Department of Revenue have been achieved or exceeded over the last 8 years.

I have many years of experience (35) in property assessment administration here and elsewhere and can wholeheartedly recommend Tom Konis for Spokane County assessor.

Spokane County chief deputy assessor
