Can’t send in the Marines

I was born in Shanghai, China, to missionary parents in 1939. We escaped the Japanese in 1944 by flying over “the hump” into India and hopping a troop ship.

That is where I met the Marines (we stopped to pick some up at Guadalcanal). I joined the Marines “to buy my share of freedom” and retired in 1981 with two tours in Vietnam, two commanding officer tours and three years teaching at the Naval Academy behind me.

I am proud of the U.S. Marines and proud of my service but I am sick of what has happened to my country. We have been taken over by “the good ‘ole boys club” of millionaire white males led by a man who would be king. They and their minions are busily dismantling our country to feather their own already feathered nests, lying and cheating and exploiting the rest of us.

Unfortunately the Marines, arguably the finest fighting force in the world, cannot save us from these vultures; it is up to us, the people to get our country back by voting these people out.
